A Year of Growth and Achievement
As we approach the end of 2024, the Bega Valley Data Collective (BVDC) reflects on a year of significant progress and exciting achievements. We are incredibly grateful to our members, volunteers, and the wider community for their continued support.
Measuring What Matters: A Milestone Reached
We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the “Measuring What Matters in the Bega Valley” project. This invaluable community engagement initiative provided crucial insights into the issues and priorities that matter most to our residents. The findings from this project will play a vital role in shaping the future of the “Living Well in the Bega Valley” framework.
“Purpose” Screening: A Night to Remember
The recent screening of the film “Purpose,” featuring special guest Katherine Trebeck, was a resounding success. The event not only provided a thought-provoking exploration of the wellbeing economy but also served as the official launch of the “Living Well in the Bega Valley” campaign. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the evening’s success. Many thanks to the Bendigo Bank for their funding to help pay for the screening. Research partnerships: University of Canberra and Australian Bureau of Statistics
Throughout 2024 we have been developing partnership agreements with the University of Canberra and the Australian Bureau of Statistics. In early 2025 we will be announcing two exciting projects to come from these collaborations – stay tuned!
Looking Ahead: A New Committee, New Opportunities
We are thrilled to welcome a new and enthusiastic committee to the BVDC in early 2025. Their passion and dedication will drive the “Living Well in the Bega Valley” initiative forward. We encourage all community members to consider joining the committee and contributing their valuable skills and perspectives. Our AGM will be held in early 2025.
