Bega Valley Data Collective’s current initiative – Measuring What Matters (MWM) in the Bega Valley is really kicking into gear.
MWM in the Bega Valley consists of four main components:
- A Community Survey
- An Online Information Session
- A Face-to-Face Workshop
- Development of a Data Directory and digital Story Telling Platform
The Community Survey has now closed, we have received 317 survey responses from our community, this is a fantastic result. The responses show that our community want to be engaged and involved in decisions that impact our collective wellbeing.
We are analysing the results from the survey so that they can be presented in the Online Information Session on February 15 at 1:00 PM. The Zoom session will provide more information on MWM in the Bega Valley with findings from the survey. A recording of the session will be made available to those who register, you can register for the session by clicking this link – Zoom Registration
The Face-to-Face Workshop will be held in March/April from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre. Not For Profits, Community Groups, NGOs, Government Agencies and anyone interested in Community-Led Decision Making are invited to this free workshop.
The workshop will feature guest speakers, group discussions and a USB takeaway information pack. Guest Speakers include:
Kristi Mansfield, CEO Seer Data and Analytics, presenting “community-led decision making”.
Kate Sollis, Research Fellow for the University of Tasmania and a consultant Policy Advisor for the Centre for Policy Development, presenting “the value of community wellbeing frameworks”.
Julie Weldon, Managing Director JAW Communications, presenting “community storytelling and effective communications”.
Members of the Bega Valley Data Collective will also address the workshop and provide information on how data can be used by our community. Recent development of the website begavalleydata.com.au will be launched at the workshop, they include a digital storytelling platform, and a data directory with local data insights.
Join us for an afternoon cuppa and community conversations with valuable networking opportunities. There are limited seats available, tickets will be available soon.
