An exciting new chapter

President Tim Whitaker, Vice President Sarah Cooper and Data Analyst Adam Mather at the recent Bega Valley Data Collective AGM.

The Bega Valley Data Collective is thrilled to share our vision as we kickstart the exciting “Measuring What Matters in the Bega Valley” project.

Our mission centres on ensuring the Bega Valley community can easily access information that empowers the decision-making of local groups and organisations. This commitment is woven into our constitution, and our key objectives to make this happen are:

  1. Creating a Data Hub: We’re crafting an easy-to-access online hub, filled with local insights and indicators that are tailored to the unique needs of the Bega Valley using the Measuring What Matters Wellbeing framework.
  2. Spreading the Word: We want to engage and inform our fantastic community of the incredible advantages of data-backed decisions to influence policies and programs.
  3. Sharing Stories: Our online hub will celebrate success and fuel progress for community-led initiatives that build resilience and quality of life.
