The Bega Valley Data Collective (BVDC) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit community association and a registered charity. Our mission is to empower our community to thrive together through a wellbeing framework – “Living Well in the Bega Valley!”
This is what individuals and organisations have said about the development of “Living Well in the Bega Valley”
The University of Wollongong Bega campus is very supportive of this project and offers support to the data collective in the form of in-kind venues to host meetings/workshops and dissemination of communications to our partners and students.
Sounds like a great idea.

I think the Bega Valley Data Collective is a great initiative to support the wellbeing of our local community. Please support locally driven initiatives for the benefit of local people.
Fully support the grant application.
I support this project.
The lack of childcare in the Bega valley area is directly affecting not only the wellbeing of parents but the business’ that are keeping jobs open for parents that are unable to return to
This is a great initiative.
What a great initiative – a way to get the community involved in designing our future as a shire.
Excellent project that should receive financial support.
With funding, this terrific initiative will enable the well-being of the Bega Valley to be measured and identify areas of well-being that can be improved. A healthy community leads to a prosperous community.
Bega Men’s Shed actively supports the mental health of its members and contributes to the community through projects it undertakes throughout the year. “Living Well in the Bega Valley” is a valuable community initiative that dovetails with the ideals of the Bega Men’s Shed and is considered an important community-based initiative worthy of funding by grants.
With hopes that this initiative thrives.
This is an excellent concept which should have whole of community support. A conscious choice for change to a better future.
The work the Collective is doing is inspiring and focussed on building a new, resilient future. Setting an example for what community can do to pave the way.
Interesting
As a newcomer to the area and with carer duties for my elderly disabled parents, it strikes me that there is work to be done to create a more inclusive community both physically with accessible architecture but mentally to combat limitless and carer burnout.
A fantastic initiative. I support this and would be very happy to contribute.
Good data underpins good policy decision making. Data that is collected and analysed at a local level provides a stronger understanding at the coal face.
